Signed original painting. Approximately A2 size. 59cm x 49cm x 2.3cm. Can be hung unframed or if the buyer wished they could have the artwork framed.

Inspiration is about going on, moving forwards, continuing, venturing, resilience despite setbacks and challenges in life.

By shedding light and colour energy into people’s lives I hope that a ripple of positivity can counter some of the darkness of modern society and the media.

The work is influenced by artists including Piet Mondrian, Mark Rothko, Kenny Scharf, Jeff Koons, Frida Kahlo, Friedensreich Hundertwasser, Antoni Gaudi and the art of Ancient Egypt. These artists, cross referenced with research into how different colours benefit the body in different ways, and study of Alain de Botton’s Art as Therapy perceived functions of art (Phaidon, London, 2015), culminate in this work.

I have explored how light, colour and energy can be represented using different mediums in the hope of creating art to uplift and inspire.
