I love to see what lies beneath the bark come inside and see what I mean
A hand turned wooden pot for pens or pencils, turned from a piece of Horse Chestnut (Conker) which has the most beautiful and varied figuring which gives an almost watered silk finish in parts My wife has then lovingly pyrographed a stunning tree image onto it which sets it quite apart from plain ones. . The pot stands 119mm tall with an internal height of 85mm, the difference being solid wood. At the widest point of the curve it is about 89mm in diameter, and is finished inside and out with beeswax which gives a soft sheen.
This pen pot is the first of our tree image collection which will include light pulls, paperweights and the sycamore bowls we already do. This would make a lovely gift for any home office or to keep a growing collection of colouring pens/pencils/brushes in, in line with the “Mindfulness” trend, which seeks to help ease stress, a subject I have been all too familiar with in the past. Or it would grace any dressing table as a pot to keep your make-up brushes in. [Please note that the colouring book and pens/pencils pictured are not included].
