Here in lovely North Devon, Hartland has an excellent Village Post Office so I can usually post the day after purchase.
Petite & pretty. It reminds me of the "satsuma ware" artworks that come from Japan.
This pendant is formed by a layer of plain black glass topped with a layer of bright red-orange-gold glass that reflects green when turned in the light. Hard to capture in pictures & not that easy in words, either. This is a versatile piece that will work with a wide variety of outfits, daytime or evening.
The pendant is about 3cms x 2cms & the bail is silver plated. The slim, black, silky, twisted cord measures 45 cms & has a ball & loop fastening. I can change this for a suitable silvertone chain should you prefer. If so, just message me when ordering.
Presented wrapped in tissue paper inside an organza bag
Dichroic glass is known for its vivid colours and those same lovely colours are often difficult to truly represent in photographs. Fortunately, whatever the picture – the real thing very seldom disappoints!
"Japonaiserie" was Vincent van Gogh's term for his Japanese-related work.
