This fused glass panel depicting a Kingfisher perched on a branch would look lovely in a sunny window. It stands 40cm tall x 20cm wide and slots into a wooden base.
It can also be used as a tea light or candle holder, table decoration or it could be fixed to a wall.
The panel is made by using specialist glass, each piece is cut from different colours of glass and then assembled on a sheet of clear glass, when it is then fired in a kiln. I use a glass kiln which has one shelf and is heated from above to about 760 degrees. The process takes about 24 hours.

While out walking in my village I came across a friend who was busy taking photos of something, which was out of my sight. As I drew closer I saw that there was a row of Kingfishers perched on a branch. I think it was a father teacher his youngsters how to fish! I have never seen them again, but always stop and look, just in case.
