A framed abstract picture hand made by Hannah Thompson at Stitching Kitchen. The background was wet felted using the bubble wrap method, circles begin in the felt itself. The piece has been stitched onto calico which is stretched across the backing board. The circular theme continues with a range of hand stitching in various embroidery stitches using a range of different embroidery threads, silks and cottons. Buttons have been stitched on again using embroidery threads. The colour pallet for this piece is Browns, Rusts, Creams and the bare wood frame has been painted with acrylic paint to echo these colours. Finished item measures approx 16.5 x 21.5 cm or 6.5 x 8.5 inches

I wanted to see if I could maintain shapes from the wool fibres when wet felting, I was pleased with the felt and wanted to continue the circle theme in stitch and including some varied buttons from my collection.
