I am lucky enough to have fed the penguins at Edinburgh Zoo - I have the best husband, who booked it as a wedding anniversary present. Those penguins were King and Rockhopper, but I painted Emperors because biggest is best.
Many people think of penguins as quite clumsy and comical creatures but I find them rather elegant, and I've tried to express that in this painting.
