Item details

Burr Elm is distinctively beautiful and exceedingly rare. The owls are proper ‘Rescue Owls’ made from salvaged pieces of timber that were left to rot in an old building. Not much of it was still usable. The tooth of time gnawed away and you will find that most of my owls will have lost a feather or two.

Each one is unique and One-Of-Its-Kind.

I put different faces on each of them so they do have their own little individuality.

Using every little bit of wood is one of the things I love about my work. Even pieces that would normally be discarded can be transformed with a bit of imagination. I live under trees and have several owls living and hooting up above in the branches. They wake me up but it always makes me smile. Naturally, I started making owls. They all look at you with different expressions.
