When you cycle, you see bits of your town from new perspectives, often as glimpses through time. So much Victorian era is still visible in around Clackmannanshire, but I realised how easily our social history could fade away. My Hidden Heritage series was inspired by an urge to acknowledge the people, places and events that shaped Alloa over 100 years ago, as contemporary illustrations, to remind myself and others of their significance and beauty.
