I have held a lifelong love of textiles and was delighted when my daughter wanted to learn to sew. She quickly moved on from stuffed animal style kits and wanted to try her hand at fashion design. I put together a kit for her – everything she needed to design a stylish fashion collection for her dolls. I cut her some patterns and included a great range of fabrics in different prints and textures and plenty of accessories and trims to unleash her inner designer. She loved making clothes with her friends but when they looked for kits of their own there was nothing available as good as hers. So I started putting kits together for her friends too – boxes with patterns, fabrics, trims, all the equipment they needed and easy to follow instructions. The idea of the Inquisitive Stitch was born – everything a budding designer needs to make a fashion collection for their doll – all in one box.
