The canvas is made from reclaimed pallet wood, the wood has been hand painted by using the scrapping and pulling technique. The Buddha head design has been created by myself in Photoshop and the finished image transferred on to the wood.

I love to design and create Buddha images with a more modern twist incorporating different designs together and blending the 2 to make unique stand-out art work.

I take inspiration for my art designs from a mixture of influences - these range from street art, vintage Japanese art. I use a painting technique for all my art called pulling and scraping,

The act of pulling and scraping paint is most associated with the Dutch Abstract Expressionist Willem de Kooning, who achieved this effect with a palette knife, and the German contemporary painter Gerhard Richter, who often used a squeegee.
