"This would make a fabulous gift for a whisky connoisseur, a handsome, Whisky Barrel Sgian Dubh."
Hand crafted in my workshop in Glasgow, Scotland.
The name "Angels' share" is a term used in whisky making that refers to the evaporation or the whiskey being obsorbed into the porous surface of the wooden barrel. This can be up to 2% per year, So your Sgian Dubh handle contains some of the Angels' share!
Cut from Whisky Barrel staves, you'll notice that one side is blackened due to the tannin being drawn from the oak by the whisky, the other is grey due to weathering.
The stainless steel blades are made from 420 stainless steel, they sharpen and engrave very well. In the interest of safety send them unsharpened.
A Full grain, hand stitched leather scabbard is also included.
