An original small painting of a toy London black taxi with an open door to show a red interior, painted 'alla prima' to capture detail and highlights. In the painting, the toy taxi rests on a slightly reflective surface, as if on a rainy day. SUPPLIED UNFRAMED.

This is one of a series of still life paintings of my son's well-loved and played with toy car collection. The paintwork is battered and the tyres are missing on some of the cars. I also remember playing with my older brother's collection of cars and wanted to evoke memories of play from a time gone by.
