I've sold this one but will be making another, Please check later.
This is a stained glass suncatcher made using the Tiffany copper foil technique.
I designed this for a commission in 2013 and I think it is quite stunning and very special.
This is now the 25th I've made and they are all different.
It is a 'picture' of a sun, a sunrise, over the sea in a ring.
The picture is framed with a strengthening border of twisted wire.
The sun's rays are made from 7 different colours and textures of red, amber and yellow glass with lots of streaks to denote the rays.
The sun is a bright circle of bright, yellow bubbles and the sea is textured streaky deep green and blue.
This is beautifully bright and cheerful and casts lovely colours when it hangs in the light of a window.
It is 5.5 inches in diameter and hangs from a strong silvery chain which is securely attached at either side of the top.
My pieces are all unique. I use different shades and textures of glass to ensure that everything I make, even when to the same pattern, is different.
The 5th photo is of the previous suncatcher I made to this design so you can see that though to the same design, each is unique.
I designed this for a commission for a customer who wanted a sun in a circular shape. I liked what I made so much I added it to my catalogue and to my shop here on Folksy.
Please note : POSTAL CHARGES : . I always part-refund postage via Paypal where more than one piece is ordered to allow for combined postal charge. I do this as soon as I receive your order.
