This design came from a brief from this year's print exchange on Instagram which was "freedom". I was insprired by the idea of people leaving behind their old lives in busy, perhaps unfulfilling jobs to live in the wilderness. Lavvu is a temporary tent used by the Sami in Scandinavia, often to follow reindeer herds. This print is made up of two layers, I used yellow ink within the tent to show the warm glow of the fire through the canvas, definitely channelling some hygge!
