Adopt a cute little gnome and add him to your Christmas traditions.

This gnome is around 10 inches tall with a green, red and brown hat made of cashmere, merino, baby llama, tussah silk and Angelina fibers with a cute little bell. His luscious locks are made of white Wensleydale. He is already made and ready to go to your home. He stands on a thin slice of wood to keep him sturdy.

These horribly cute gnomes are hand felted by me. They are individually made from head to toe. The hats are made of various wool that has been blended to create a unique fabric and creatively adorned, no two are the same. The beards are made from Teeswater and/or Wensleydale locks.

There are various folklore surrounding Gnomes. They are usually portrayed as small magical beings that mostly live underground. They protect Mother Nature' s animals and precious gems and metals.

Gnomes are also thought to bring good luck and protect the homes, animals, farms, gardens and people that treat them nicely. However, they may cause mischief to those that harm them.

Once I started making gnomes I couldn't stop. Luckily, I had spare wool from my spinning and felting adventures so I could sculpt away. Each gnome was perfected one by one and now there is an army of gnomes on my tables and mantles. I decided it was time to deliver my gnomes to the world. And here they are.

I started working with wool as a teenager. I learned to knit, crochet, and spin. I had not tried felting until recently. I loved it so much my house became overrun with felted items. Folksy has provided me the opportunity to share my art with you.
