Handmade Crochet statement necklace, made with a soft cotton blend (50% acrylic, 50% cotton) decorated with plastic/acrylic beads secured with a wooden button at the back of the neck. Picot edging on the neckband.

Approximate length of neckband 46cm.
I send them carefully wrapped in tissue paper secured with ribbon, and in a padded envelope along with care instructions and a special thank you.

This design was in fact loosely based on the idea of a crocheted table mat! I had just made the wine coasters and wine glass markers (see listings), and thought I would like to use the edging on something else. So I basically started playing around with a semi-circle of various ideas and ended up with this pattern. The gaps left in the open work lend themselves to the placement of a pearly bead here and there! It has a slightly wider neckband which sits quite flat, so is really comfortable to wear. The cotton blend yarn is very soft and not as stiff as 100% cotton.
