Handmade Crochet statement necklace, made with 100% DK acrylic yarn, smooth texture, not "woolly"! Neckband decorated with two tone purple/lilac beads all the way around, secured with a wooden button at the back of the neck.

Flowers are made individually and then secured to the neckband with a beaded thread of the black yarn.
I send them carefully wrapped in tissue paper secured with ribbon, and in a padded envelope along with care instructions and a special thank you.

The design for this necklace was a sudden inspiration whilst walking to the corner shop for some milk one Saturday morning. Within 3 hours I had made one and wore it to a family gathering in the evening. The original one was actually pink and made from a baby DK wool. I adapted the pattern to make with this yarn. One of my favourites it is a DK smooth, so not "woolly"! It has a weight to it almost like a cotton blend would. The purple & lilac beads are weaved in and out of the treble stitches of the neckband, then used to suspend the black flowers, which are made using a stitch called "popcorn" this gives a 3D raised look to them, and makes them sit on the chest quite flat.
