This iconic building formerly known as the Lansdowne Picture Palace sits on the junction of London Road and Boston Street in Sheffield, it was built in 1914 and designed by Architect Walter G Buck.
It's a place that's forever etched in my memory, for as a child, an Aunt of mine lived nearby and had a birds-eye view of this wonderful building. It now forms the entrance to a Sainsburys One Stop Shop, with modern student accommodation to the rear of the building, whilst not a lot of the original building remains, it still makes my heart sing to see it...
