Colourful magpie art print 'Mystical Magpie and Maple'. Stunning magpie wall art with a pretty and unusual yellow and pink background. Fantastic bird lover gift idea or gift for someone who appreciates the myths and legends that surround this very special bird.

This magpie print has been print with the giclee technique for vibrant colours and a soft, velvety matte finish that's long-lasting, fade-resistant and will allow you to enjoy your bird art print in your home for many years.

Giclee square art print: 305mm x 305mm (approx. 12" x 12") printed size. Overall size 356mm x 356mm (approx 14" x 14") including an additional unprinted border.

8 x 8” and 16 x 16” print sizes are available, so please ask and I can add it here for you.
An 8" x 8" square print costs £42 plus £6 P&P and a 16" x 16" square print costs £85 plus £6 P&P. (16" print size pictured in frame)

Mounted prints are also available, with prices starting at £48 plus £6 P&P (for an 8" square sized print).

I can also provide framed prints with a choice of frames, with prices starting at £95 plus £8.50 P&P (for an 8" square print with mount and wooden frame in black, silver, or gold). Please ask.

Printed with archival inks on acid-free matte archival paper (230gsm)
Print will be sent unframed, unmounted and rolled in a tube. Printed to order. Usually posted within 7-14 days.

I'm taking a little break from my Folksy store but I'm still about busy arting, blogging and creating if you'd like to see what I'm up to or get in touch ~ Lotti :)

I was inspired to create this magpie art to look at the bird behind the mystical myths, legends, and nursery rhymes - a really intelligent bird that is the only bird to recognise its own reflection in a mirror and one that mates for life and mourns their dead - no wonder there's so many stories and myths about them!

I draw the bird, branches and leaves separately and then scan my drawings into the computer. I put them all together in Adobe Illustrator and tweak the colours to give them some zing!

I love the unusual and slightly unexpected colours in this artwork and I hope they makes you look at the magpie in a slightly different way. A special artwork for a truly remarkable bird!
