Wish Upon a Star is a little paper cut designed by myself and cut out of iridescent shimmering paper in a shade of grey/lilac/white. At the background there is a textured dark blue paper which appears like the night sky. The stars that feature are embellished with little blue sparkling gems to add interest and catch the light.

The design features an Owl sat in a tree, with the crescent moon and stars in the night sky. The tree is carved with the words " Wish Upon a Star".

This paper cut is actual size 12cm x 12cm and it is framed in a white wood box frame with overall measurements of 25cm x 25cm.

I love trees as you my have noticed and I have been creating several versions of trees in my new paper cuts, some you will see are very like my original paintings. This one I wanted to add in an owl in the night sky and have sparkling stars appear too.
