In the book of Esther in the Bible, God is not mentioned at all. However, we can still learn significant lessons on God's sovereignty from it. During a trying time of being in exile, God's unseen hand of justice and faithfulness still prevails. Very often, life is confusing, chaotic and does not pan out the way we desire. As a result, it becomes so easy to doubt, question and waver - and I try to convey that with the centrepiece of the necklace. With beads pointing here and there in a random pattern, it was even confusing for me as I made it!
However, when the necklace is viewed in its entirety, the centrepiece suddenly transforms into something beautiful and coherent. And this is the same with life and with God - we may not understand what is happening; why is this happening, where is God, how can this be for my good. But in light of God’s complete plan, just as He was working during Esther’s time, He is still working today and He is working for our good. It will be beautiful.
