My dissertation was actually on fungi, not mushrooms as such but fungi all the same. Since I started working and playing around with them in the lab in my first year I've become much more fond of fungi and their close cousins! So how could I resist putting one of the most colourful species on a card?!
(The dinosaur I won on one of those 2p machines you find in piers. I LOVE those machines. He was just sat on the shelf and it seemed rude to remove him just for a picture!)
