This lovely pinafore dress is made from a liberty lawn fabric known as Betsy A, first designed in 1933. It is one of the lovely soft classic tana range fabrics. The design features beautiful bold blue flowers, and the pattern incorporates small pink and lilac flowers, all on a white background. The dress is cut on the bias, with centre seams at the front and the back, which allows the dress to fall attractively from the shoulders, in a style to suit any little girl. The simple design has a comfortable round neck at the front and the back, with no fastenings, which allow for easy dressing. The loose design ensures that is will fit for a while. Worn over a little top and leggings or t shirt, this dress is ideal for any season.
The dress measures approx. 18 inches (46cm) from shoulder to hem.
Rosanna is modelling a smaller version of the same dress.
Please note, the top is used for photographic purposes only, and is not supplied with the dress.
All our dresses are now supplied in a useful daisyfleur dress bag, that has a ribbon drawstring.
I made a smaller version of this dress for my grand daughter, so decided to make another to sell, as it looks so pretty!
