The owl is made from feathers, with eyes and beak from painted card. The foliage is pressed leaves and fabric collage flowers. The background is fabric. The image is mounted and has a wooden frame, with glass. The size is 8" x 10"

The collage was made in the 70's, when I was selling though exhibitions on the Wirral. I have 15 left (all different) and have revamped them with new frames and fabric collage flowers added to replace faded pressed flowers. The feathers are timeless! In the 70's you could buy game birds with feathers attached and feather hats from jumble sales - now no longer available. Also, the whole process was messy and time consuming, only the tips of the feathers were used, and fluff got everywhere - So definitely no more being made!!
