Who doesn't love to ramble in the Countryside.....?! Those of us who adore nature can feel the true joy in being in the fresh country air enjoying the environment.
This piece is one of my (many) homages to the Countryside and an expression of feeling towards the experience of being there.
It is very Impressionistic and rather gestural for me and my usual way of working, however I find working with acrylics does not allow for as much time to work into the marks as I would using oils, as it dries! This is actually a major advantage as is forces me to work quickly, intuitively and expressively. As I am capturing a feeling of being in the open air these paints swiftly allow me to do that. I hope that I have managed to capture such a feeling felt by many.......
