This is one piece of genuine, English sea glass from Seaham Beach, in a beautiful shade of purple as shown against a light source. There is a flaw to one edge of this piece as can be seen in photos.

All of the sea glass in my listings has been collected from Seaham beach and is a legacy of the bottleworks which was in operation in the town from 1853 until 1921. It is believed that, at the end of the working day, unwanted glass was discarded into the sea and, having been surf-tumbled by the waves of the North Sea for so many decades, some glass can still be found washed ashore today.
