A pretty lavender bag sewn from a vintage embroidered tablecloth, with French lavender.
Here is an unashamedly old-fashioned lavender bag for sweet smelling clothes, and since the year dot, believed to help in a good nights rest.
It is made from a piece of vintage table linen, washed and faded, and embroidered with yellow and pale brown flowers.
There are little oversewn holes in the design, which allows the aroma to circulate easily.
Snuggling inside is a little muslin pillow full of French lavender from Provence.
It measures 11cm by 11cm.
There is a handy hook for a clothes hanger, or for hanging up as a little piece of craft in its own right.
The front and back are made from different sections of the same cloth which gives a different look on either side.
It is finished off with my embroidered name tag on the back.
Give your little bag a squeeze now and then to refresh its smell.
I like to reuse where possible. Your lavender bag will arrive wrapped in clean, recycled packaging.
It will be posted out to you using 2nd class Royal Mail.
I love finding forgotten linens. There is always a corner somewhere which can be washed, and brought back to life.
This one is especially good for scent, with its pattern of little embroidered holes allowing the smell to waft out.
