I cut some fine silver (999) to size and folded it in half. I then hammered on the cut side with a jewellers cross pein hammer which made the silver form into a crescent shape and gave the leafy veins. This was then annealed and opened. I shaped the ends to form a leaf. The wires were soldered on and bent into shape.
Fine silver was used because of its softness which makes it easier to work with.
