This is a stained glass suncatcher made using the Tiffany copper foil technique.
It is a dog, a gorgeous Boxer dog, in a ring. I've named him Gloves but you can of course call him whatever you want.
The boxer is, I think a male and certainly a British variety by his ears.
He is dark brown with some streaks and a white front - based on the colouring of my daughter's dog Geebee.
He has bulging boxer eyes made from twinkly beads which will follow you round the room.
The background is made of a lovely textured pale yellow glass which picks out the colour of the dog beautifully.
It is 12 cm in diameter and framed for strength and neatness with twisted wire
It hangs from silver chain attached securely to two little rings at the top and like all my suncatchers come supplied with a strong suction hook.
It looks absolutely beautiful hanging in the window where it shines and catches the light .
This item is absolutely unique. I never make two pieces exactly the same, I always use slightly different colours and textures of glass for each piece to ensure they are unique.
The 5th photo shows a white version of the boxer but please note that I can't make white at the moment as nice white glass supplies are very limited. If you would prefer white then please message me as I should be able to get more white glass by the end of September when more is delivered from the US.
I designed this for my daughter in 2013 as she has two boxers. She showed it to her boxer rescue friends and I sold several more to them and none of my boxers ever stayed with me long enough to be listed here in my Folksy shop.
Thought it was time I made another so here he is.
