This handmade horse is cast in resin, from a wooden carved original, the original was in turn made using the same procedure as the traditional rocking horse, This horse is undercoated ready to paint and can be painted to look like a real horse and can even be modelled from someone's own horse. It is supplied with glass eyes and synthetic hair (choice of colours). This horse is mounted on a safety frame left unfinished, which can be stained as required to suit your wishes, all fixings are included.. Full instructions and advice on completing this project are included, any future questions can answered as you progress. A Unicorn conversion is offered at no extra cost. Painting is not difficult if done carefully and it is very rewarding, as the horse slowly reveals itself, and seems to come alive.

I have always liked the looks of traditional rocking horses, but the size made it unsuited to a small home, I therefore looked at the possibility of making a miniature version, small, but made with the same attention to detail as the original. I did look at painting these horse as the traditional, but on a small horse, it looks like a toy, so I chose to paint them as real horses.This one is unpainted to give you the chance to complete this project.
