Baby blanket knitted in garter stitch using a variety of wools in red, pink and white. The blanket measures 28 inches by 29 inches so is almost square. The wools are joined in at random, most of the wool is double knitting baby wool but I have also used chunky wool and have also used two wools together. I have picked up the stitches along the edges of the blanket to knit a border also in garter stitch. The border has been doubled over and stitched in along the edge of the blanket to give a nice rolled edge. The blanket is quite thick and warm. I have washed it by hand but it could be washed in a machine at a fairly low temperature and is quick to dry.

I have seen quite a few colourful baby blankets knitted in garter stitch and thought they looked a little bit different to the usual lacy blankets and as I had a variety of wools in colours I thought would go together I decided to use these quite randomly hopefully for good effect.
