Posting larger items overseas makes me incredibly anxious, so I'm currently only posting smaller ones.
Free UK delivery.
An original piece of artwork made from discarded materials and vintage thread.
It will never be printed or reproduced in any way.
All proceeds from this sale, after postal, Folksy and Paypal (or other form of check-out payment) deductions, will go to Arts Emergency. This is a small London based charity aiming to ensure university doors are kept open for those most able to benefit from, but least able to pay for education.
The collage has been torn from the front pages of the Metro and Evening Standard newspapers (see image), and sewn onto handmade paper (from a charity shop), then hand-stitched onto watercolour paper (also from a charity shop).
I have explained the materials and its making in greater detail here: alisonsye.wordpress.com/2017/07/05/towers/
The piece measures approximately 13 x 14cms (not including border) and 28 x 30.5cms with border, which can be trimmed by your framer, as desired. The frame (Habitat) is not included.
To avoid fading the newsprint keep out of direct sunlight. If framing use UV protection or museum glass.
The price includes 'signed for' delivery, within the UK.
I will not be posting this piece overseas.
Can be sent as a gift with words of your choice.
