Flora Phoebe and Rosa
Being Scottish, I am very much inspired by the fabrics and wools around me. This is a new venture merging tartans and yarns together.
I have designed and knitted these little ladies, a process which takes at least 120 minutes per fairy!
Flora is the one with the olive green!
Phoebe is the pale blue one.
Rosa is the pink one.
Each have been designed in the same style. I have started with a knitted body then added tights, skirts and knitted bodices.
The skirts are made from off cuts of tartan from the Scottish Borders and is pure wool. They have a frayed rag edge to give an authentic rustic feel.
I have added a fimo heart with the inscription ... 'With love'. These little hearts were made especially for this project.
The faces have been hand sewn by a crafty friend and then I added hair complete with a little button.
The wings are made with a beautiful organza glittery fabric to complete the look!
Both these ladies are currently looking for a new home where they will be loved and treasured for ever !
Please feel free to,contact me if you require further information about these lovely little ladies!
Fairies are such fun ......each one has it's own personality !
No two are ever the same.
