One of two patterns, along with Summer Solstice, inspired by the designs on the back of a bronze mirror found at Trelan Bahow, Cornwall. It dates back to the 1st century BCE and is now housed in the British Museum.
The Winter Solstice is the shortest day of the year and the sun is at its weakest. This is reflected in the icy blue shades in the threads.
