An exploration of the technique using a scroll saw to make a bowl from a flat piece of wood. This allows the bowl to have a matching grain and very little timber is wasted. It also makes some dainty and unique shapes. This has been finished using a melamine laquer, which Chestnut Products say is safe for Toys. On top of that a light coat of bees wax gives a nice lustre.
