This is a hand pressed linocut print of an otter feeding on a fish.
This is a reduction linocut print which I hand pressed at home using the back of a spoon. I printed it in 5 applications of ink and then sponged ink over the print to add extra texture.
This is the first in an edition of 5 prints. I have made 10 prints of this design in total, two similar editions of 5 which differ slightly in design and ink application. There will not be any other prints made from this linoplate as the plate is destroyed during the creation process.
This artwork is printed in Schmincke Aqua Linoldruck Linoprint Ink (Water Based) on Fabriano Acid Free Artist's Paper 160gm.
The print measures approx 4 x 6 inches and the paper size is approx 6 x 8.4 inches.
The print comes unmounted and unframed.
I will post it out to you in a board backed envelope and I will send it 1st class Royal Mail Standard Delivery or Standard International Delivery if sending overseas.
If you would like a special delivery service, for instance guaranteed delivery by a certain time, or if you would like me to send your item tracked and signed for, please send me a message and I will get a quote for you for the extra postage cost.
Thank you for looking at my artwork.
If you have any questions please ask me.
I based this print on photographs I took during a visit to a Sea Life sanctuary in Scotland. The otter was really enjoying his lunch, playing and showing off for his appreciative audience while he dined.
