This little (12cm x 16cm) drawstring bag is made from Liberty of London Tana Lawn and double sided satin ribbon.
The design is called Wiltshire Berries created in 1933 and redesigned in 1968.
I've always loved Liberty prints and then I discovered Sir Arthur Liberty was born in Chesham and moved back after establishing the Liberty store. I had time on my hands last winter and worked out how to make these very useful little bags. I'm no seamstress but with the help of my inherited 1930's Singer sewing machine I made these. Some I filled with travel sized toiletries, sewing kits or small items of jewellery and gave them away as gifts. These are for you to put special things in.
