This little (12cm x 18cm) bag is made from Liberty of London Tana Lawn and the ribbon is double sided satin from Berisford's.
The design is 'Helena's Meadow created in the 1930's but revived in the 1970's.

I've always loved Liberty prints and I had the idea of making these little bags when I was stuck at home last winter. I'm not a seamstress but armed with my mother's 1930's Singer sewing machine, I worked out how to make these little bags. Some of them I filled with miniature toiletries, sewing kits or small pieces of jewellery and gave them away as gifts. These are for you to put your special things in.
