Original handcrafted peacock butterfly sculpture, with detailed decorative painted wings, this sculpture would look lovely on a window sill or shelf.

Made from steel the butterfly is approximately 11cm wide from wing tip to wing tip, 8cm from the tips of its antenna to the back of the wing and 3.5cm high.

The Peacock butterfly is made by hand from mild steel sheet which has been cut and shaped to form the wings, the body is steel bar that has been turned to size and shaped to form the body, the legs and antenna are made of wire.

After assembly the butterfly has been hand painted in enamel paint to create the beautiful detailed colouring and pattern on the wings and body. As can be seen in the photographs the underside of the butterfly has also been painted.

Every stage of the production is done by hand so each butterfly will be very slightly different in terms of its shape, colour and patterning, this creates a unique and individual butterfly.
