This messenger bag is sporty yet chic & was designed for everyday use.
It features a very intricate metal button, magnetic clasp, outside slip & zip pockets & 2 inner slip pockets.
It is spacious whilst being compact & boxed corners provide depth.
An adjustable strap was chosen, so the messenger bag can be worn over the shoulder or across the body.
The main body & strap fabric is a very soft yet sturdy grey chenille-like material while a bright yellow shade of the same material was chosen for the front of the flap & parts of the strap/ inner slip pockets.
Inside, an upcycled pillowcase in yellow and white stripes shines as the bag lining, strap/ flap lining, outside slip pocket lining as well as part of the inner slip pockets` outside design. Pic number 4 shows the construction of both inner slip pockets well. Top stitching in grey & yellow where appropriate.
As with all handmade goods, you have to expect surprises, and in this case one of the metal buckle holders at the side has a slight forward angle rather than the preferred "straight up" position. This doesn`t make the bag less desirable or usable but should be mentioned to avoid disappointment.

Machine-washable at 40`C.

This messenger bag is all about the button. I had had it in my stash for a long time and there never seemed to be the "right" project for it until my trolley load of upholstery fabric came into the house. Finally, there was an opportunity to show it off and to position it in a way that it got the attention it deserved.
