No more dog ears! The days of vandalised book pages are over! The perfect gift for any book lover!
This unisex denim bookmark is made from a pre-loved pair of jeans and a much loved shirt.
At the front you can clearly see the washed effect from the original denim garment, and the stripey pattern at the back complements this fresh & sporty look.
An additional feature is the bottom page marker, which is an original belt loop that was incorporated into the design, while the top of the bookmark has a "handmade" label sewn in.
The bookmark was top-stitched in khaki to match the colour scheme. Hidden inside is a mix of materials to give the bookmark some sturdiness, and it is pleasant to both look at as well as touch this piece.
All materials have been pre-washed and the bookmark is machine washable at 40`C.

While I was in the middle of making primarily necktie bookmarks I was keen to mix it up a little and use fabric from my "scraps" basket as well. And so I did. So much so that my basket was no more overflowing but just "full".
