This Toile De Jouy print slouch bag is fresh, summary and youthful, and its olde-worlde French look makes it very attractive for any age group.
The print is 100% linen and is complemented by upcycled light blue polycotton for the lining and part of the strap.
Darts were sewn to provide greater depth to the bag, and apart from the main compartment there is a zip pocket inside as well as double slip pockets to help keep things organised. Original seams from the polycotton (which used to be a pillowcase) were kept to form the top border of aforementioned inner slip pockets, which is an extra feature.
Another upcycled part of this piece is the main zip, a contrasting dark blue with an easy to grip leather zip pull.
An adjustable strap was chosen, so the bag can be worn either on the shoulder or across the body. Due to its softness & shape it can mould itself slightly around one`s side, which is comfortable to wear.
All materials are pre-washed and the bag is machine washable at 40`C.

When I found this linen curtain remnant I instantly thought "bag", and I wanted something a bit out of the ordinary, something different. I searched for a suitable pattern and once I had it all worked out and sewn up - not without its challenges! - I was so happy with the piece that I put it aside for a while to potentially keep it for myself...
