Halcyon was born as a result of our own endless search for garden furniture that lasted for more than one summer or that didn't blow into an untidy heap in the corner of the garden every time we had anything more than just a gentle gust of wind!
We purchased items made from timber, rattan, aluminium you name it. Nothing we purchased had any real substance or gave us an acceptable life span.
Having a background in construction, in particular the sympathetic renovations of older buildings, we realised we had both the equipment and experience in carpentry to enable us to design and make our own garden furniture. So that's exactly what we did..
Two weeks later our first suite of furniture sat proudly on our patio just in time for a family BBQ and it was there that the story began....
