A chance remark, in an Instagram conversation about makers markets, was the 'lightbulb moment' for designing this apron. A glass artist said she needed big pockets for all the stuff she needed to use at craft fairs!
Working from my little studio, in hilly-leafy South-East London, I make workwear aprons in small batches, using natural fabrics, with minimal waste. I always choose fabrics that are washable and hardwearing, constructing aprons that will last many years longer than normal clothes, retaining their designed purpose and functionality. I apply the same design principles and sustainable values to the bags I make from fabric remnants.
