This small painting is a dramatic blend of texture and detail, representing our connection with the woodlands around us.

I have a joy for textured work, with rollers and a mixture of oil based inks and water based paints.

This work was originally painted Plein air in a sketchbook and is now presented in an ivory mount - Frame size 9"X7" - Image size 7"X5"

Tree-lines have always filled me with wonder. Their imposing nature upon landscapes hold secrets about what's within. They create natural drama to a landscape but also show possibilities of texture and beauty, glimpses of what's beyond.
Forests are rich natural abundant spaces, and whether they are eerie and spooky, or beautiful and magical, painting the forest or the tree-line has always been a draw to me.
