Love making these books which I think are miniature pieces of art. They can be used by students for design work, doctors jotting down important follow-up notes on patients from Ward rounds, a sailor's log or just possibly a 'to do' list for anyone.

This particular little hardback notebook has a fashion theme, is made from calico and embellished with machine stitching and appliquéd oddments of silk and sheer and other fabrics. Would particularly suit a fashion design student to carry around for inspiration ideas on the go. The book is a handy pocket/handbag size. The book cover can be removed when the book is full and replaced by a new one quite easily.

Book is a normal lined hardback notebook and measures 11cm x 15.5cm (approximately A6)in size.

My inspiration comes from old/vintage French magazines that I have collected of elegant French fashion, and fashion drawings that my mum used to create for me when I was a child. I love the use of typography in my work and the text from the magazine adds an stylish touch to the cover. A trip down memory lane for me.
