I've always been a massive music fan, and a love of record sleeve design goes hand in hand with this. I've always loved doing hand lettering (I also work as a sign painter and window graphics painter) so I decided to combine my two passions. I was looking through a box of old 45's and I had the sudden urge to re-interpret some of the classic design used on these record company sleeves. Deram was a sub-label of Decca Records which released music from 1966 to the early 80's. It released some of David Bowie's early singles in '66 and '67 and some Northern Soul classics like "Nothin' But A Heartache" by The Flirtations and "Beggin'" by Timebox
