This is a unique piece. It has been made using layers of small pieces of Argentium® (A form of silver, see the notes on the right)
I cut a lot of random pieces, and joined them together in what I felt was an interesting and easy to wear shape.
The pendant weighs 5g, and is 1in/2.5cm long. The square snake chain is 16in /41cm long.
I am a registered maker with the Edinburgh Assay Office, it carries my personal stamp (PG) and the hallmark for Sterling Silver.
The pendant will come in the small organza bag shown.
Note : I am keen to minimise my packaging footprint, so I am stopping my use of cardboard boxes (I am aware that most people discard them, they also cost more to post)
As a result, I will send this with no postage charge anywhere in the world.
Argentium® is a slightly different form of silver. It has less copper than traditional Sterling Silver, and has Germanium in it. Technically it has a higher silver content 0.935 rather than sterling which is 0.925, although in the UK it hallmarks as Sterling.
It has the amazing property that it fuses together really easily, with the result that you can make some really interesting layered shapes, which gives me as a designer a large range of options.
