This natural Welsh yarn has been specially developed over a 30 year period from the sheep on one farm in mid-Wales. This lovely mid-brown coloured aran weight yarn is cosy, gorgeous and a joy to knit, weave or crochet with.
This natural aran is from a wonderful medley of sheep that have been bred to produce beautifully coloured natural yarns. Over the years the sheep have been bred from a mixture of Shetland, Cotswold, Ryeland, Wensleydale, Portland, Gotland, Corriedale and Merino with the occasional Icelandic ram. The last photo above shows the current flock of sheep.
Perfect for warm, hard wearing sweaters and accessories yet with a wonderfully soft handle.
