This is a beautiful handmade keyring in "Drake" Yew wood incorporating a twist ball point pen.

The Keyring pen is made from Drake Yew wood with Gold coloured metal fittings.

The wood displays unique grain pattern after many years of drying in an old barn at Buckland Abbey.

All the wood in the "Drake" collection was grown at the family home of Sir Francis Drake, Buckland Abbey. Drake lived there on and off for 14 years and the estate remained in the Drake family for several generations.

A small certificate will be included giving details of the wood.

The mark in the middle of the purple patch is a dent/hole and can be felt in the wood. I left this in as it is secure and adds to the unique haracter of the pen.

The pen is complete with standard D1 type refill ready for use. These can be replaced and are available from most stationary shops or online.

I cut a piece of Yew from Buckland Abbey which had just the right feel to be made into a fountain pen. This is the piece that as left and had too much character to not make use of.

The wood is complemented by the Gold coloured fittings which make this keyring really stand out.
